This week flew by in a chaotic jumble of driving here and there, therapy appointments, DR appointments, classes, clinical hours, errands....the list goes on and on. Sometimes I look back at the week and say WOW...how on EARTH did I actually DO all of that? Yesterday was a super long day. I am in my school from 9-2 with a special needs preschool class (the 2nd part of my student teaching, I am done with my 1st graders for now) and then I rush over to Walsh and have the after-school program to help teach from 2:45 until 5 and then I had to meet with some people after class which meant I left at 6 and THEN had to head the grocery before finally getting home at 6:45. Thankfully, Kris had made a wonderful dinner and it was just being set on the table when I walked in the door. After dinner I started making the cookies with Alec for his Halloween Party today. I got out the treat bags to fill and realized I was FIVE short. So, off to Target we go at 7:30 last night. Got treat bags, came home and stuffed them with the cookies that Kris ended up cooking while I was at Target, put the play dough and candy corn in them, tied them off with ribbon and got the kids to bed. Then, at 9 it was finally time to sit on the couch for some ME time. ME and GREY'S ANATOMY. OMG do I ever love that show.
Alec and I had a nice morning the other day. We had breakfast at Bob Evans instead of McDonalds because mommy just couldn't stomach anymore McDonalds!! Then we headed out to get Alec new gloves and a hat. This was not so fun as Alec wanted Batman for his gloves and hat. Mommy doesn't "do" character clothing. He can play in it in the yard or around here but my kids don't wear character clothes. Don't flame me....they are allowed to have character PJ's. ROFL. So we had to make a compromise. I told Alec he could have the Batman gloves if he got the Hat that I wanted. He finally agreed. So it's all good.
I have loads of homework this weekend. Kris is working a side job tonight until 12:30 am and I will be on the computer the whole time he is gone. Doing HOMEWORK. I have THREE more weeks left of this semester. YIKES....time to get busy! Counting down the days until the big day in April when I GRADUATE!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Trick Or Treat!
Thankfully we had a BEAUTIFUL day today, before the rain set in I should say, for trick-or treating! It was so much fun and the kids had a great time! Mikayla was adorable, holding out her pumpkin and saying "tick-o-tee." She ended up with a lot of.....CHOCOLATE...which of course she can't have because of her milk allergy. But mommy will happily take care of that candy for her:-) Alec LOVED being Batman and is thrilled because my "you can't wear your costume until after trick-or-treat" rule is now over with. He just loves dressing up in this costume and I think he makes a handsome Batman if I do say so myself!
My dad called here late last night and said he missed the kids tooooo much and needed to see them. So my mom and dad ended up coming up here for the day and got to share in the Halloween Fun! And I got to take all my pictures on dad's Nikon. WOO HOO! So...I posted a ton of them because for once, I couldn't choose!
Thanks mom and dad for coming up today. It's always great to visit...even if it was a little crazy up here today! I really value each and every moment we get to spend together and the KFC was YUMMY!
She was SO happy about this tiara!
On the hunt for CANDY!
It was so nice and semi-warm actually today!
Mikayla couldn't WAIT to get out the door!
BATMAN!
He is pointing his sword at me here....love it!
Papa and Alec
Mamaw and Alec
Alec and his buddy Knowledge (isn't that a cool name? His family is Native American so they all have really cool names!)

Guat-Tots take on a RAIN SOAKED Boo at the Zoo
RAIN WONT SPOIL OUR FUN!!!
Sadly, it did in fact rain on our parade. I watched today as the weather slowly moved in and just as we were about to pile in the van to head to Cleveland.....mother nature decided to make me VERY unhappy. It POURED rain the entire night. Only about half of the total families that were supposed to come ended up coming, which I have to say I can't blame them! But there were a few of them that did come and then a few more that stuck it out with us until the end. Honestly, believe it or not, we had super fun. I wish it had been a little warmer, it's about 50 here, because once we got really wet, we got REALLY cold. We were there until 8:30 so almost three hours. And it was really busy too! So we were not the only crazy ones that braved Boo at the Zoo today. I am, however, really sad and disappointed for our group. This would have been a wonderful evening for everyone if it wouldn't have rained. It's just such a shame:-( I made treat bags for all the kids filled with cookies I baked last night and gave the children glow sticks too. I came home with a lot of the leftovers so it looks like we will be eating cookies for the next few days:-) Thanks to all of you that came...it was still fun time!
