COMING TO AMERICA!!!!!!

Well...the day has almost arrived. We are coming HOME tomorrow! Mikayla will become a US Citizen when she sets foot on American soil which will happen in Houston, Texas! Words cannot describe this feeling. We have waited for this day for so long and it is almost here. I don't have a lot of time to type tonight but wanted to check in with everyone real quick. We love you all and will see some of you tomorrow night....in CLEVELAND....with MIKAYLA FAITH in tow! It has been a loooong journey....but tomorrow one chapter will close and another one will begin. Thank you everyone...for helping us through this process with your love and support!

EMBASSY DAY!

Well today was the ever so important day! Mikayla has a Visa and we will have it tomorrow! WOW! It was such an easy process this morning at the Embassy and we were the 2nd appointment. I am so glad that everything is over and done with. She is coming home and it is FINAL!!!! We had a wonderful day as a family today. Mikayla is still teething pretty bad but she is hanging in there! I uploaded the pictures out of order today. Sorry. They are in opposite order of how they were taken. The ones at the bottom were the first ones taken today from the Embassy and then the first one right below was the last picture taken. Sorry about that! Well family....are you counting down the hours until the airport??? We ARE! See you all SOON!

Here are some pictures from today. I am holding the baby right now so I can't do much more then just these right now. We took a tour of Antigua and visited the baby home...so beautiful...this country!!!

WE ARE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't believe we are HERE with our daughter FINALLY! She is so beautiful and is so laid back. It is truly like she has been with us forever. She just came right to us like she knew we would come for her someday all along. It is AMAZING! I love her so much!!! She is sound asleep right here next to me in the crib and I can stop staring at her! These pictures are all out of order. The one at the very bottom was taken moments after they brought her. It's our FIRST family picture. Alec is so in love with her and she loves him too. She watches him all the time. Tomorrow we will be going to Antigua and to visit the baby home Mikayla was in. We are looking forward to it and I will post pictures tomorrow night. I didn't have a lot of time to take them today so these pictures are not the greatest....but you can see how beautiful she is:-)

Last Post from the US

Tomorrow we leave for Cleveland and will be staying there and getting up bright and early for our flight out. We have to be at the airport at 3:30 AM. So it will be a VERY early morning for us. We got confirmation from our agency that they will be bringing Mikayla at 2:00 PM. Our flight gets in at 12:30 PM so we will be rushing to the hotel and trying to get things ready QUICK for her arrival. But trust me...I am NOT complaining! Not ONE bit! It's almost time....check back for those pictures!

Almost time to leave!

Tomorrow is our last day at home as a family of three! We are finishing packing and getting all the final things ready around here. Friday afternoon we head up to Cleveland. I am so excited I don't know how on earth I will ever sleep these next few nights. WOW....in less then three days I will be holding my daughter again. I can't believe it. I really can't! I am sooooo ready for her to come home. It is almost time!

New Pictures!!!!!!

We got updated pictures of Mikayla today along with a current child information sheet. According to the stats that were just done yesterday she is now 15 pounds and 24 inches long. She is growing! She seems to gain a pound a month on average. I am currently considering getting BACK out her suitcase and adding more 6-9 month clothes. It is all so confusing. But I am NOT complaining ONE bit. We are still floating around on cloud nine here! Friday we head up to the airport. We are staying at the Comfort Inn for the night because we have to be at the airport by 3:30 am on Saturday! Enjoy the new pictures. As always...I think she looks so beautiful. I just can't wait to hug and kiss her again!
