Well People...I am a Mini Van Momma Now

Never in a million years did I EVER think I would become a member of the Mini Van Club. Kris and I swore up and down our entire lives together that we never own a Mini Van. Period. I now own a Mini Van. It all started on the wonderful night of January 31st, 2007 when we brought our sweet daughter home from Guatemala. The airport shuttle took us to our car and low and behold...we couldn't fit. Kris' mom had to take some of our luggage because we couldn't get it all in the car. We had a Pontiac Grand Prix and I adored that car. I did. But Kris couldn't even put his seat back where it needed to be with the baby carrier/carseat in there. Two carseats and two adults in a car is hard. It just wasn't working out. We mulled over it for a month. We REALLY wanted an SUV...but after looking at the Trailblazer, our SUV of choice, we came to the conclusion that we really would not have much more room and we would spend a fortune in gas.

So today we drove down to my dad's dealership, he is a GM Technician, and got a Chevrolet Uplander. It's soooooo nice. It's silver and so roomy. Alec thinks it's the best thing ever. He is all proud of it. It felt like it was a rite of passage when Kris signed the papers. So here we are now...Mini Van club members. Will someone please send me membership card along with my bumper sticker that says "My child is a honor roll student at so and so school?" JUST KIDDING. We really are very happy. We got a GREAT deal. It is a 2006 with only 19,000 miles. I am NOT a fan of car salesman. I mean WHO IS!? However our salesman was awesome and so laid-back. Not pushy at ALL. I tell you what I am PROUD of my hubby. He bartered them down GOOD. It's amazing the kind of deal you can get when you PUSH IT to the max. LOL. Here are some pictures I took off the dealer website of the van listing. This is our NEW van.
